Zoom integration

    Last updated: September 2026

Connect Zoom to Usezu and every appointment booked for you gets its own Zoom meeting, with the join link in the confirmation your customer receives and on the appointment in your calendar.

    What the integration does

    • When an appointment is booked on a calendar or booking link set to Zoom (by you, by a customer on a booking page or form, or by the AI assistant), Usezu creates a Zoom meeting on the host’s own Zoom account.
    • The meeting’s join link is added to the appointment, to the confirmation and reminder messages, and to the calendar event.
    • Nothing else in your Zoom account is read or changed: no recordings, chats, contacts or other meetings.

    Prerequisites

    • A Usezu account that is a member of the business (sub-account) you book appointments for.
    • A Zoom account (Basic, Pro or higher). Each person who hosts appointments connects their own Zoom account.
    • A calendar or booking link whose meeting type is set to Zoom.

    Adding the app

    1. Open usezu.com/integrations/zoom (or add the app from the Zoom App Marketplace). If you are not signed in, sign in first and you are brought back to this page.
    2. If you belong to more than one business, choose the business this Zoom account is for.
    3. Click Connect Zoom, sign in to Zoom and approve the permissions shown.
    4. You return to the business’s calendar with Zoom shown as connected.
    5. Set a calendar or your personal booking link to use Zoom: open Calendar, edit the calendar (or your booking link) and choose Zoom as the meeting type. Save.

You can also connect from inside the app at any time: Calendar → Connect your calendar → Zoom, or from the Team page next to your name.

    Using the app

    • Book an appointment on a Zoom calendar or booking link. A Zoom meeting is created on the host’s account within a few seconds.
    • Open the appointment to see and copy the Zoom join link. The customer receives the same link in their confirmation.
    • Rescheduling keeps the appointment’s link. Cancelling the appointment cancels it in Usezu; the meeting stays in your Zoom account until you delete it there.

    Permissions the app uses

    • meeting:write:meeting: create a meeting on your Zoom account when an appointment is booked for you.
    • user:read:user: read your Zoom user id and email address, to show which Zoom account is connected.

    Troubleshooting

    • An appointment has no Zoom link: the host has not connected Zoom for that business, or disconnected it. Connect Zoom (see above); new bookings get links again.
    • “Reconnect Zoom” on an appointment: Zoom no longer accepts the connection (for example the app was removed in Zoom or the password was changed). Connect Zoom again.
    • Wrong Zoom account: disconnect Zoom and connect again with the right account.

    Removing the app

    From the app

Open usezu.com/integrations/zoom, choose the business and click Disconnect Zoom (or use Calendar → Connect your calendar → Zoom, or the Team page). The Zoom access tokens and your stored Zoom id and email are deleted right away, and the app is removed from your Zoom account.

    From Zoom

Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find the app and click Remove. We are notified and delete your Zoom tokens and Zoom id and email from our systems.

    What happens after removal

    • New appointments on Zoom calendars are still booked, but without a Zoom link, and the appointment shows a note asking to reconnect.
    • Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account and keep working. Delete them in Zoom if you no longer need them.
    • Switch the affected calendars and booking links to another meeting type if you do not plan to reconnect.

    Data and privacy

We store the Zoom access and refresh tokens, your Zoom user id and email, and the join link of each meeting we create, in a database that is encrypted at rest. We do not access recordings, chat, contacts or meetings we did not create, and we do not sell Zoom data or use it to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy.
